Dolce And Gabbana Aim For An Exclusive NFT Collection Launch

On July 14, Fashion and Luxury brand Dolce and Gabbana officially announced the launch of an exclusive NFT collection in partnership with UNXD. UNXD is a digital marketplace that is powered entirely by the Polygon Network. It hopes to eventually become an exclusive marketplace for the digital luxury and culture network.

Dolce and Gabbana said that the first in a line of NFTs in partnership with the luxury marketplace will be available exclusively. This fashion brand’s debut NFT collection is said to be named Genesis Collection (Collezione Genesi).

The company will feature the collection at its forthcoming shows for Alta Moda, Alta Goilleria, and Alta Sartoria, at the end of August in Venice. Their collection focuses on the deep-rooted artistic traditions of Venice, as explained in their press release.

Notably, the first concept in this collection is inspired by a dream from designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana known as Dress from a Dream (L’abito Dei Sogni). Other non-fungible tokens in the Collezione Genesi collection are expected to be revealed in the weeks before the Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Goilleria shows. All of these items will be exclusively auctioned on UNXD.

Dolce and Gabbana’s non-fungible token is not the first in high-end fashion to be involved in the NFT space. Designers that dived into the space with the Paris Fashion Week are scheduled to have a few NFTs available. Among them is Gucci which is rumored to be getting ready to join the NFT market too.

Even as crypto prices continue dropping in the general market, NFTs have remained quite strong, with more additions coming into the exploding market. Some weeks ago, LABS Group integrated real estate with NFTs, enabling people to acquire a stake in its resort using the popular token technology.

The artists like Muse have also continued to create more non-fungible tokens even as brands, nonprofits, and foundations join the budding market.
