The Game Awards 2024 has arrived to celebrate the best games of 2024 and unveil the future of games for 2025. It includes a spinoff of Elden Ring and the 4th addition of The Witcher.
CD Projekt Red has revealed The Witcher 4 with a six-minute trailer. In the trailer, Ciri takes the spotlight as the protagonist, not the Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher 4 is also going to be a single-player game.
The trailer was created using a pre-rendered version of Unreal Engine 5. However, the launch date has not been revealed yet.
Elden Ring Nightreign will be released in 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
A new co-op spinoff from FromSoftware, Elden Ring Nightreign, was also announced. It is based on a world parallel to the Elden Ring.
Players can join teams with up to two friends to explore the parts of Elden Ring’s Limrage area. Each game session will be random in dealing with enemies and structures.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will finally be released on PC on January 23, 2025, just a year after its PS5 release. The PC version includes many improvements and mods support.
The Game Awards has confirmed the return of Virtua Fighter. More details will be confirmed in a special showcase on December 13. The announcement is notable because it’s been eight years since the last game, Virtua Fighter 6.
It Takes Two developer, Hazelight Studios revealed a new split-screen co-op, Split Fiction
The developers of It Takes Two announced a new adventure game, Split Fiction.
It is a split-screen co-op game in which two writers are trapped in a tunneling simulation of their own story. The players need to find a way to escape through “the very worlds they created.”
The world alternates between fantasy and sci-fi. The launch date of Split Fiction is March 6, 2025.
Pocketpair announced the next expansion for Palworld, Feybreak. It will be released on December 23, 2024. The trailer also showcased the largest and most difficult island so far.

Secret Level’s Pac-Man episode is announced as a separate Metroidvania game, Shadow Labyrinth. It is a darker version of the classic Pac-Man game. Shadow Labyrinth will come out in 2025 as announced in the Game Awards 2025. The producer of the Tekken game, Katsuhiro Harada, is working on it.
